I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, “I MISS JOHN WAYNE”. I understand the sentiment! For me, given that this is Independence Day weekend, the timing could not have been better.
The sight of it reminded me of a recording John Wayne once made tilted “America, Why I Love Her”. It was originally written by poet and actor, John Mitchum, and performed by John Wayne.
