All pastors have their favorite jokes. Here are a few of mine.
After having spent a lifetime in the ministry hunting quality clean humor that is suitable for the pulpit, I can tell you that, in my opinion, there is simply no better material available for preachers than the following works by Paul W. Powell. The attached links will connect you to PDF's of his material, as well as to his other helpful works:
A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to Retirement.
Laugh and Live Longer: Good Humor to Brighten and Lighten Your Life.
Several years ago, Tal Bonham also compiled a wonderful series of humor books known as The Treasury of Clean Jokes.
Lastly, Michael Hodgin has compiled two volumes full of humorous stories which are very helpful. They are titled: 1001 Humorous Illustrations for Public Speaking: Fresh, Timely, and Compelling Illustrations for Preachers, Teachers, and Speakers and 1001 More Humorous Illustrations for Public Speaking: Fresh, Timely, and Compelling Illustrations for Preachers, Teachers, and Speakers respectively.
He later produced a companion volume which is also available: 1002 Humorous Illustrations for Public Speaking: Fresh, Timely, Compelling Illustrations for Preachers, Teachers, and Speakers. Again, Amazon.com has a Michael Hodgin page.
Another collection of humor books for Christian communicators are those by Lowell D. Streiker, including A Treasury of Humor, An Encyclopedia of Humor, and Nelson's Big Book of Laughter: Thousands of Smiles from A to Z.
All of these books are available at www.amazon.com.
Other good web sites, also linked on my favorite web links tab above, include:
Good Clean Funnies (A site specifically devoted to clean humor.)

In addition to these resources, I have amassed quite a collection of jokes and humorous illustrations on my own over the years. In time, I hope to upload and index all of this material here as well, and thus have it available for all of you who find humor helpful as you communicate.
